About Me

Hello, I am Shenyan Wang. Please just call me Shen. I'm a molecular biologist with over five years of combined clinical and research experience, which has bestowed upon me a plethora of molecular techniques. I love to learn new things and to refine my existing knowledge; ancient Greek thinkers called it φιλοσοφία (philosophia, love of wisdom), and I also believe in the boundless pursuit of knowledge and reality.

With my unique combination of skills, I am keenly able to troubleshoot and optimize scientific workflow. Whether it is how to reduce turn-around time for a clinical assay, or how to most effectively research a novel pathway, I am able to bring meaningful contributions to the team. I have demonstrated an ability to optimize workflow, creating automated spreadsheets and tools to promote efficiency in the lab space. My contributions not only reduce workload, but also minimize opportunities for user error. I have also been a major contributor to the research and development of a new molecular assay; I led the clinical validation testing and performed a successful launch for the new assay.
